Cutting performance and durability:
The cutting blade is made of dedicated tool steel. Medium hardness.
The method of heat treatment combines both strength and wear resistance in a balanced ratio. The knife is hardened throughout, meaning it will wear evenly throughout its life.
Welding or additional heat treatment should be avoided. Such action can affect the grain structure of the metal and the properties will be seriously weakened. This can lead to knife breakage and machine damage.

They are subjected to quenching at certified heat treatment facilities in Poland.
Our products are not made by the machine manufacturer, but thanks to our knowledge perfected in this field over the years, they are a very good quality equivalent ensuring quality not worse than parts for the first assembly.
In many cases, the modified heat treatment process and proprietary mechanical treatment solutions translate into better durability of RTOOLS knives.
